We're Obsessed With Patricia Altschuls "Super Campy" Holiday Decor

We're Obsessed With Patricia Altschuls

Patricia Altschul's holiday decor is everything you'd expect: a mix of vintage maximalism, English country style, and a healthy dose of kitsch.

The Southern Charm matriarch showed off her bold jewelry in a series of Instagram posts on Dec. 22, just days after she reunited with former Butler Michael Kilcourse on vacation. Patricia started by highlighting something very familiar to Bravo fans: an iguana wearing a Santa hat and singing "Feliz Navidad" when pressed with its front paw.

“This is the time of year when I get all my Christmas animals out,” she captioned a video of the cute little bauble toys.

Patricia shared a clip of her festive flamenco set to the classic holiday song "Jingle Bells." “It wouldn't be Christmas without my flamenco dancing!” “Super Campy Christmas,” he wrote, followed by the tag.

The Florida-born, Virginia-raised mom also shared a photo of her adorable Pomeranian Roy singing "Rockin' Around the Christmas" while sniffing a fake poinsettia.

"Wait...there's more," he wrote before sharing the title of the Dec. 23 post. "Roy wasn't impressed. Did you know that Pointsetia was named after Joel Poinsett...a botanist from Charleston, South Carolina?"

"Old Fashioned" Christmas Tree designed by Patricia Altschul

Patricia then invited her fans to take a closer look at the giant Christmas tree under her stairs. The work is decorated with colorful lights, strings of candles, and an eclectic mix of motifs such as lions, fireflies, elephants, pineapples, woven mittens, and various Santa Clauses.

The tree is also surrounded by red gift boxes tied with gold ribbons, as well as dozens of collectibles from the legendary Steve's toy company. Her collection of stuffed animals includes everything from tigers and camels to crocodiles and giraffes.

“This is not an ornamental tree,” said Patricia in the video. "It's really vintage with jewelry my grandparents and parents gave me, as well as jewelry Whitney made when she was little. It looks the same every year with me and Steve's childhood animal (the giraffe).

Isaac Jenkins, a socialite and former art dealer, bought the famous Mikkel House in 2008, nearly 160 years after it was built. Patricia decorated the house with the help of the late Mario Buata, a world-famous interior designer known as the "Prince of Chintz".

Here's what Patricia Altschul said she needed "more" in her unique home

This historic home has been featured on many Southern landmarks thanks to Patricia's love of hospitality. Fans saw the house again in Season 9, Episode 10 when Patricia threw a dinner party inspired by the British royal family.

"You know, I cook dinner for friends every year," Shipp told Rose and her son, Whitney Sudler-Smith. "So I think maybe we should try taking it to the next level. I'm going to hire a chef who can prepare a menu for the royal palace."

"I think a royal banquet will make the British royals feel it and move them," Patricia explained in an interview where she explained her overall goal for the dinner.
