Today, the charity works nationally and internationally on sustainable development and environmental restoration projects and provides training and education to people of all ages and backgrounds.

In his new role, Van Cleef & Arpels will look after the gardens of two locations in Scotland: Dumfries House in Ayrshire and May Castle and Gardens in Caithness. The jeweler will also oversee Highgrove Gardens in Gloucestershire, England.

Van Cleef & Arpels will begin maintaining the Rose Garden in Queen Elizabeth's Walled Gardens at Dumfries House. Likewise, the woods, fences and borders will be improved and developed throughout the estate.

The Rose Garden, which will be renamed the Van Cleef & Arpels Rose Garden, is open to the public and is one of the largest and most diverse in Scotland.

Nicolas Boss, chairman and CEO of Van Cleef & Arpels, said it would allow the jeweler to "continue to manage a large portfolio". This will ensure that parks continue to be valuable and affordable assets for local communities and visitors alike.

He said the company would also help install electrical charging points and replace power tools used on the Dumfries House estate.

"Since the beginning, Van Cleef & Arpels has valued nature as a primary source of inspiration. In the modern world, you cannot celebrate the beauty of flora and fauna without paying attention to their conservation," added Boss.

Gordon Neill, chief executive of the Prince's Trust, said working with Van Cleef & Arpels is a "natural partnership that benefits the environment and the visitor experience".

“In the coming years, we look forward to further innovation and adopting more sustainable practices at Dumfries House, Highgrove Gardens and May Castle to improve the environmental performance and visitor experience of each of these sites.
