These Are The Most Exciting Seeds In Gardening Catalogs This Year

For garden enthusiasts, some events make us dizzy. In the first week the soil temperature is high enough to make spring planting safe. Summer day when the first tomatoes are ready to be harvested. Check your seeds in the morning at the end of winter, everything will start to sprout. But almost no event brings me more joy than receiving a new seed catalog. In December, most companies were sending out these colorful vegan porn films. You'd think we'd take them down immediately, but most of us want to do some serious shopping, so the gardeners I know sit on them and wait for the day they go to work.

Create a seed collection strategy

When you first look through the catalogs you have nothing in mind other than what you like. There's a ringing in the dog's ears, you dream about planting a rainbow of tomatoes, but at some point it's time to get to work. Searching for every plant house doesn't make much financial sense, so you should gather as much as you can. I first load the web shopping carts for each installation and then start the selection process. Does my local seed store have slow cooked cilantro comparable to what I see at Johnny's? Instead, keep it there. Be careful not to accidentally order two different types of seeds; I do it at least once a year. Consider which seeds you should buy in bulk as they will last for a few years. After assimilating and filtering as much as I can, I look at the rest to see what damage I can do.

Split orders to save on shipping costs

At this point I reached out to my gardener friends to find out who wanted to reinforce the arrangements. Since no seed company skips shipping, this is a great way to save money. As a bonus, my friends often order the same thing and we can share the seed packet. If you really want to save money, you can follow this idea. My friend and I had been going through the stages of planning for years. We share seeds every year and collect them specifically so we can share them.

Do not leave small seeds or space for testing

No matter how hard you try, you end up with a smaller order: a house with pollen that you can't live in, or an Etsy seller with five different colored agastash. I'm doing well; Part of the fun of gardening is trying new things every year. I swear I've decided on eight tomatoes that I want to grow next year and add to my list every year.

The seeds chosen by Johnny

  • Harvesting Moon Tomatoes : Johnny produced three new tomatoes this year, but I really like these for their color and disease resistance. It mimics a large artifact with a smaller size, meaning it is often fruit. Johnny chose two other new varieties: Strawberry Fields , a regular red-fleshed tomato, and Marmalade Sky , a golden-orange fleshy tomato.

  • Chalupa Romaine Lettuce: This hardy, fast-growing variety performs best year-round and means an early harvest. I can't wait to try it out.

  • Gershwin Pickling Cukes: They are seedless (if you store them to avoid contamination from other cucurbits) and are early producers.

Burpees

  • Mecca Ozette Potatoes : Is this the new disease-resistant sweet potato? in order.

  • Peppers, sweetness, aggressiveness : I've already mentioned that I love small peppers because they grow more vigorously and ripen earlier than larger peppers. This orange bell is a “must” to prepare in advance for snacking.

  • Gem Sage : This new variety is available in all three colors: purple, pink, red and rose gold. Sage has quickly become my favorite garden flower and every time I get this information I say, "Plant wisely." It brings all the hummingbirds to my garden and stays at the top all season long.

Fluorite Flower Farm

  • Zinnia Unicorn Mix : The floret will bloom for the first time in 2024 and the mixes are gorgeous. These one meter tall zinnias walk in front of me in my circle.

  • Celosia Corals : Celosia is very worthwhile to grow, these exotic stars are eye-catching and this color combination will be wonderful.

Plant needs

  • Black Cat Pumpkins : Last year I decided to buy whole white pumpkins, so these very dark green pumpkins that go dark are a “yes.” I'm imagining a black and white pumpkin arch in my garden. Closely.

  • Purple Emperor Capucine Trailing : I love this unexpected color in the trailer; It looks great in hanging baskets.

Rene Park

  • The First Chinese Broccoli : I didn't even know I wanted to grow Chinese broccoli until I saw this, but it makes perfect sense in my spring garden. Since it is a short crop, it grows in summer.

Regional races

  • Daisy Lambert Butter Lettuce : I want more lettuce seeds like a hole in the head, but look at them, they're so beautiful.

  • Coventry carrots : I'm happy with Chantenay carrots and these hardy carrots are perfect for my garden. I hope to bring them in once the rain lets them grow.
