But we did put a few knick-knacks on our Christmas tree—as some of us hung individual baubles from a branch, a handyman quickly shared a simple 1-pound hacksaw with each tree.
DIY fan Marilyn, who posts under the TikTok username @marilyn.2685, has amassed 500.3K followers and 26.2M likes on the video-sharing platform and recently surprised many with her clever hack.
She shares her organizing tips and tricks, as well as her DIY hacks, and in her latest clip, posted six days ago, Marilyn reveals that we hang squirrels from our Christmas trees.
And thanks to a simple hack, we can have our tree looking fantastic in no time.

In the clip, we first see Marilyn's very simple Christmas tree.
He is then seen taking the egg and placing it on a piece of pipe cleaner.
After he finds some balls in his pipe cleaner, we see a ghost attaching a rope to a branch of a Christmas tree.
Marilyn made different wreaths from different shoots and added them to her tree.
At the end of the clip, Marilyn shows off the finished tree - complete with twinkling lights and a beautiful garland.
