October 1: On Saturday, October 8, the Fletcher Warren Civic Center and surrounding area will become a one-stop shop. There, people can do house and garden crafts, get rid of unnecessary items, old appliances and spare parts, donate blood or entertain children with games.
The 2022 Fall Home and Garden Show, hosted by the Greenville Fairgrounds and taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., will feature nearly two dozen local and regional vendors, many of whom will offer products and services to help people garden, gardening projects, and gardening, they have and buildings.
“We still have room for more vendors,” said Jennifer Pittsinger, executive director of Keep Greenville Greenville.

While the Home and Garden Fair is underway, a children's area will be set up next to the Civic Center, which will include bouncy houses and a children's ax game, Pittsing said.
The Kids Zone will also be hosting a pumpkin decorating contest where kids will be encouraged to carve or decorate pumpkins at home and win prizes at the event.
Carter Bloodcare will bring its own bus to the field to collect blood donations for the event. While walk-ins are welcome at the blood drive, Greenville Beautiful plans to post a QR code on social media for an appointment with Carter Bloodcare.
It includes a recycling collection of electronic and computer devices starting at 10:00 a.m. which will run until the truck is full.
Types of items accepted by Fort Worth Product Recycling Solutions include desktop computers, laptops, cell phones, entertainment devices, cables, chargers, rechargeable lithium batteries, monitors, tablets, small consumer electronics, copiers/printers, fax machines, DVDs and VHS. Players and game consoles.
Items not accepted include tires, paint, mattresses, hazardous chemicals, alkaline batteries and paper.
Collection of unwanted electronic devices and components will be done by machine, and entrants will not be permitted to separate or organize their items in any way.
“Once the items enter our processing, they are separated and sent to the ground where we recycle the various items and materials,” said Joan Meeks, owner of Commodity Recycling Solutions. "When it's all finished, we hope to recycle around 90% of the waste."
