Vogue has announced that the dress code for the 2024 Met Gala will be "Time Paradise."
The magazine announced this year's dress code with a hilarious picture taken by celebrities on social media.
This year's presidents are the aforementioned celebrities: Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
This year's costume was designed by Jay Ballard.
Echoing the book's beautiful illustrations, Vogue said the dress code represented "transparent beauty." The post also suggests Melanie flowers.
Other references include the parrot-tulip designs from Dries Van Noten's Spring 2014 collection, as well as Karl Lagerfeld's floral embellished pieces from Chanel's Spring 2015 Couture collection.
Last fall, the Metropolitan Museum of Art announced the Spring 2024 Costume Institute Show and an exhibition and gala titled "Sleeping Beauties: Fashion Come to Life."
According to the Met, the theme "explores ideas of regeneration and renewal, using nature as a metaphor for the absurdity of fashion."
"Sleeping Beauties" deepens the appreciation of these fashion masterpieces by describing how they feel, move, hear, smell and interact while wearing them, giving a deeper appreciation of the honesty, beauty and artistic brilliance of the pieces on display. said the company's CEO Max. Holi reported it.
The Met Gala will take place on May 6th, after which the exhibition will be open to the public from May 10th to September 2nd.
The Met Gala 2018 coincides with the inaugural season of the annual fashion show and is a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute.
Around 600 people attend the event, so the guest list is usually kept secret until the night before the event. Past guests have included Rihanna and Lady Gaga, Blake Lively and Kim Kardashian, and they all looked memorable.
