Billy Joel Performs With Daughters Della Rose And Remy Anne At Madison Square Garden

Billy Joel celebrated the holidays and family at his monthly residency at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, bringing his two young daughters to join him on stage for a Christmas-themed "Jingle Bells." During the show, he and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Elvis Costello performed two songs together.

“Some special guests on the show. 97,” Joel, 74, who grew up in Hicksville, wrote on social media after the concert, his 97th performance at the venue and 143rd overall at the park. Also on stage were two photos of her, Costello and Joel's wife and Alexis, one of Joel's daughters, Della Rose (8) and Remy Ann (6). The girls wear matching green leather dresses and black leggings, and the principal also has a red dress and a green Santa hat.

In the TikTok video, Della can be seen in the middle of the song "Jingle Bells" while her proud father sings on the piano every now and then. Turning away from the audience to look at the second verse of the song, he gestures to the crowd with a smile and walks away again.

The youngest two of Joel's three children, who also include cabaret singer Alexa Rae Joel, his daughter with ex-wife Christie Brinkley, have already appeared on stage with their father Della Rose and Remy Ann.

At three years old, Della made what Joel casually told his audience at the Park on December 19, 2018, "her debut on the show," as the little girl held a microphone and occasionally clapped her hands. 20 views of “Don’t Ask Me Why.” The following May, Della took the stage after Alexa Rae Joel's duet with her father Joel on "New York State of Mind" and held her older sister's hand as Alexa Rae sang "Happy Birthday" to her father.

During a performance on November 23, 2022, Della broke out to hug her father between songs, then ran off stage and returned with Remy. Two of the Don't Ask Me Why group stayed in some bars and then ran away. And on October 20, two girls dressed in matching black dresses sat at Joel's piano and played "Don't Ask Me Why" again while Della played the triangle in time.

Also during Tuesday's performance, Grammy Award winner Costello teamed up with Joel for two songs: Joel's "Allentown" and Costello's anthem "Pump It Up."

Joel will conclude his unprecedented tenure at Madison Square Garden on July 25 with his 150th concert at the venue.
