©ShutterstockFREEHOLD, NJ — It's time to start thinking about whether you want to enter the 2023 Monmouth County Home and Garden Fair competition. Here's how.
Staff will accept art, paintings, crafts, sewing and canned goods on Sunday, July 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Monday, July 24 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. On Saturday, July 29, from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m., bakery items will be accepted at the fair from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
No pre-registration is required for these categories. Please note that this is an amateur competition.
The Home and Garden Competition will accept applications for day programs for seniors and adults on Monday, July 24 and Tuesday, July 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Contact Ann at 732-460-1167, ext. 24, for the registration page.

East Freehold Showgrounds, Kozloski Road, Freehold, The Monmouth County Fair runs Wednesday through Sunday, July 26-30. Hours are 4 to 11 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, July 26-28; Saturday, July 29, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.; and Sunday July 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
General admission to the Monmouth County Fair is $8 per adult; Children under 12 can enter for free. Veterans and active military with ID are also free. On Sunday, people over 65 and students with ID will get in for free. The Monmouth County Fair is presented by the Monmouth County Commissions in cooperation with the Monmouth County Park System and the Monmouth County 4-H Association.
