Greensburg Garden Center Program Offers Ways To 'punch Up' Holidays

The next program idea for the Greensburg Garden Center, Warm Up Your Holidays, came from someone who wanted to give the group a punch bowl.

According to co-chair Carla Rusnica, this encouraged attendees to think of different ways to make Christmas beverages, decorations and clothing sparkle.

They will share some ideas at an event Thursday from 6pm to 9pm at the Rizzo Ballroom, 126 Rizzo Road, Crabtree.

According to Rusnitsa, the fountain with citrus punch will be the central decoration of the evening.

Guests can view the Holiday Menswear Show at Lapel's Fine Men's Clothing in Greensburg.

For women, Jennifer Amunson, owner of Spa 309 Salon and Boutique in Greensburg, picks a few guests from the crowd and shows them how to find their outfit.

Garden center member Marian Debon will show you how to fold beautiful quilts and she and Rusnica will show you how to make a kissing ball ornament.

"Everything is being done," said Rusnitsa.

Tony and Renata Marino, founders of Westmoreland Performing Arts, will provide entertainment.

"They sing different songs to get in the Christmas spirit," Rusnitsa said. "That's correct."

Tony Marino will lead through the evening.

In addition to the punch bowl, three other types of non-alcoholic punch bowls are offered. A wine bar is available.

The buffet features Chef Rizzi DeFabo's specialties, including pumpkin ravioli, Roman chicken nuggets, two types of bruschetta, and a cheese board.

There are about a dozen gift baskets filled with items like wine and cheese, Steelers-themed items, and Spode party supplies.

The ticket price is $65. Book on Tuesday before 3pm, November 1st Call 724-837-0245.
